I’m struggling to find macro-friendly recipes that are actually realistic…

Main Post:

I keep scrolling TikTok / IG for food ideas, but most of the recipes feel over the top or like something I’d never actually make. What I really want is to see the quick, super simple, macro-friendly shit people actually eat to hit their goals.

I'm talking good tasting yogurt bowl ideas, simple chicken and rice that doesn't suck, etc. These "15 minute" recipes are never 15 minutes.

How do you guys find recipes like this?

Top Comment: You’re not finding interesting quick recipes because most people obsessing over their macros mostly eat simple boring meals- brown rice, baked chicken, steamed veg. Oatmeal with berries. Eggs. That’s kind of it, learn how to season your chicken well I guess lol

Give your favourite soup recipes 🍲

Main Post:

Hey everyone!

Fall is almost here and, as the temperatures are gradually dropping, I find myself craving more and more warm and comforting foods...aka soups.

Feel free to share your favourite soup recipes and give me some ideas on what to cook. Any advice is greatly appreciated! ✨

Top Comment: Pollo verde. I start by making a traditional stock with a whole chicken and sometimes throw in an extra thigh or two. Could be done with a precooked chicken and store bought stock. -shredded chicken -six cloves of garlic -1 yellow onion -2 stalks celery -2 jalapeños (1 saved for garnish) -1 poblano or green pepper -cilantro -2 zucchinis, sliced in halves -scallions -Oaxaca or mozzarella cheese -limes In a blender, blend half the onion, garlic, 1 jalapeño, green pepper, and half bunch of cilantro. Set aside. Dice the other half onion and slice celery, and brown with a little olive oil in a pot. Add blended mixture and let it cook down for a few minutes, stirring frequently. Add salt and pepper. Add chicken stock and chicken. Bring to a boil, turn down to medium-low and add the zucchini. Let cook for twenty minutes. We usually eat it over white rice. Garnish with sliced jalapeños, sliced scallions, extra cilantro and lime juice. Can be topped with tortilla chips.

AI recipes are ruining my life

Main Post:

I'm so sick of 80% of the recipes I see online being AI generated.

I'm so sick of having to use detective work on a recipe site to figure out if it's AI generated.

I'm so sick of getting really excited to make a recipe just to figure out it's AI generated.

Honestly I'm just going to stick to recipe books and using bakers I know and trust. I don't care if the recipe is perfectly fine, just AI generated. It's deeply worrying to me and I'm scared and frustrated about the future of online recipe websites.

Top Comment: I feel you. You just have stick to a site your trust. King Arthur Baking, Sally, smitten kitchen to name a few. If you want to try something new look up a few different recipes to compare. Eventually you’ll get a feel for what will work and what might now.
